There is no doubt that the international demand for tribal art is steadily increasing. There are many passionate collectors and art lovers looking for the best piece they can buy.
An absolute stunning piece you will find is a Zazaigo Headdress from the Mossi people, in Burkina Fasso, made of wood and fibres. These are used by Mossi groups of young men, to honour deceased members of the community during funeral ceremonies. During this ceremony the headdress is used to communicate with the spirits of ancestors, to let them know that a person has passed on, and that they were honourable and should be allowed to pass into the realm of the spirits.
